GreeNovator: the Mission
Pietro Tundo’s company Greenovator is specializing in providing services in organic chemistry and, in particular, in green chemistry at national and international level.
With regard to green products and green processes, Greenovator assists companies in the Veneto region in carrying out pure and applied research, in developing innovative green technologies, looking for partners and contacts with international industries and academies. The expertise ranges from providing information to the full support for the co-production of chemicals.
The research group has become a world leader in the green chemistry field for the discovering of new reactions and processes and also for its important international contacts.
Tundo introduced green chemistry for the first time at Ca’ Foscari University through the innovative development of organic carbonate chemistry and its industrial applications. Many young researchers began their academic careers in this sector under the guidance of Pietro Tundo.
Green products and processes:
Utilization of alkyl carbonates and especially dimethyl carbonate as reagents, solvents and additives having done the highest number of scientific publications on the argument
Gas- liquid-phase transfer catalysis (Gl Ptc)
Continuous flow processes in organic chemistry
Natural feedstock exploitation
Solvent change in chemical manufactures
Metrics on green chemistry
